LIGHT OF THE VINE
SCULPTURE LAMP
Be a light in dark places. This lamp is the first in a series of vine lamp sculptures that I am working on. The concept is based on the coexistence of technology and nature. In this series, I am combining organic forms, traditional woodworking techniques and integrating state of the art lighting components. These sculpture lamps feature LED lamps, rotary and touch dimmer controls, natural stone crystals, and hand blown art glass globes.
This lamp is made from a natural vine and a copolymer fabricated vine. Images here are a work in progress. The lamp measures 8″ wide and 21″ tall. The sculpture will be illuminated by dimmable LED lamps in a hand blown glass ball. Click on a the below to see a larger image.
